Client Preparation

Shower before: Clients are encouraged to shower before the session to enhance cleanliness and oil absorption. Avoid applying lotions, perfumes, or heavy skincare products.

Space requirements: Provide a clean, private, and well-ventilated space (minimum 2m x 2m) with room temperature 20–24°C.

Health disclosure: Inform therapists of allergies, injuries, skin conditions, pregnancy, or medical concerns before the session.

Massage Equipment

Disposable linens: Single-use hypoallergenic paper sheets or freshly laundered cotton linens for every client. Face cradle covers replaced after each session.

Sanitization: Massage tables disinfected with EU-approved non-toxic agents (EN 1276/EN 14476 standards). Bolsters and tools wiped with 70% isopropyl alcohol.

Tool sterilization: Reusable tools (e.g., cupping sets) sanitized with medical-grade autoclaves or UV-C light.

Therapist Hygiene

Hand washing: Therapists wash hands with antibacterial soap before/after sessions. Alcohol-based sanitizer used during setup.

PPE: Gloves available upon request for sensitive treatments.

During Session

Client comfort: Communicate pressure preferences. Private areas always draped with towels.

Product safety: Organic hypoallergenic oils (jojoba, coconut) used. Patch tests available for sensitive skin.

Post Massage Care

Shower guidance: Wait 1–2 hours before showering. Use lukewarm water.

Hydration: Drink plenty of water to flush toxins.

Activity restriction: Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours.

Client Responsibilities

Clean environment: Secure pets and remove clutter/hazards.

Cancellation policy: Reschedule if contagious (flu, skin infections).

Allergy alert: Disclose sensitivities to scents, oils, or latex.

Emergency Protocols

First aid kit: Therapists carry first aid kits (bandages, antiseptics, gloves).

Incident reporting: Adverse reactions documented per EU regulations.
